SM (Sean McBean) is a multidisciplinary creative based in London, working across tattooing, digital sculpture, drawing, photography, and sound.
Rooted in a background in fashion communications, SM’s practice moves frequently between the digital and physical realms. Self-taught in tattooing since 2022, alongside a parallel exploration of digital sculpting and CAD modelling that began that same year. Underpinning these outputs is a long-standing foundation in sketching and drawing, extended more recently into photography and sound design. The work is united by a considered, exploratory approach to form that is restless across mediums, but consistent in its attention to detail and design sensibility.
